FAQ's

Have a question in mind

Looking for more info? Send a question to the property to find out more.

1.How long does it take to get to Halong Bay

The distance from Hanoi to Halong Bay is around 175 km. Traveling by shuttle bus will takes around 3 hours and by private car it is 2.5 hours one way. The road from Hanoi to Halong may experience traffic jam so please allow extra time for that.

2 . Will I be picked up from my hotel in Hanoi?

Each cruise has their own policy regarding transfer: some cruises include transfer in their cost, others charge extra fee for transfer. If you book the transfer by shuttle bus, you will only be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter Area .If you stay outside of these areas, you need to take a taxi on your own to our office or to the cruise office to get picked up. An alternative is to book a private transfer.

3.What should I wear on the boat?

We suggest you take light garments in summer, sweaters, and/or a jacket in winter as it can get pretty chilly, especially at night. A raincoat will be useful any time of the year. As for shoes, choose appropriate items according to the temperature and prepare trainers or walking shoes for excursions (visiting caves, hiking, cycling, etc.). Don’t forget your bathing suit for swimming!

4.Does Halong Bay have internet or wifi?

Yes, we provide wifi on our cruise and on bus. But some times signal of wifi is not good in some places in Halong Bay

5. Are drinks and beverages included in a cruise trip?

No, they are not included in any cruise packages. In general, meals are included and in each cabin there are complimentary bottles of mineral water. Some cruise may offer free tea/ coffee in meals but other drinks will be charged.

6. How many luggage should I bring on board?

You should bring with you the necessary ones as there is not much space on shuttle bus. Because we will drop you at the same hotel after Halong Bay trip so you can leave your big suitcase at the hotel. If you need to go directly to Airport or train station you can bring your entire luggage.

7.What happens if I arrive late at the port for the cruise? Or if I want to disembark earlier than schedule?

Cruises aren’t like hotels; we require exact timing for boarding or disembarkation so that we can provide all scheduled programs, itineraries and activities. So please inform us if you will be late or want to early disembarkation. We will have the cruise's tender or a speed boat to send you from port to the cruise or vice versa, and we will charge the additional fee for this.
