FAQ
ABOUT KAYAKING
Why
are your kayaking trips more expensive than others?
A-
we has pioneered sea kayaking here and
we are the only company that can offer a true kayaking experience,
and the reasons are numerous:
· Qualified, highly trained guides. All
of our guides have been trained by Canadian experts from AECSKO
(Association of Eastern Canadian Sea Kayak Outfitters) and have
an internationally recognized Sea Kayak guide certification. A
strong emphasis is placed on safety and First Aid. Our guides
also have a wealth of local experience and know all the best places
to explore in a kayak.
· Equipment. We have imported state of
the art kayaks and gear to provide you with the quality you’d
expect from a kayaking adventure. Most companies are using inflatable
kayaks which are basically for playing at the beach.
· We’ve worked closely with the local
park rangers and are the only company with our own, private base
camps on beautiful beaches. These fully equipped camps include
bamboo huts, a fresh water shower and sit on toilet. The camps
are staffed by friendly locals who take care of the base camp
and, with the training of a Hanoian chef, cook you savory meals.
Q- Where will we go? How much time
and how far will we paddle?
A- We’ll
show you on a chart the basic routes for the tours, although the
routes can change based on the interests of the groups as well
as weather and tide conditions. If a group is fit and keen, you
can paddle up to 6 hours in a day, covering about 6-10Km per hour.
Less fit paddlers can be partnered with a stronger paddler so
the group doesn’t get slowed down.
Q- I can only afford the trip if
the minimum of 4 pax is met. Should I book now, and when will
I know if it’s leaving or not?
A- You
can book the trip and we’ll find others to join, our kayaking
trips are very popular, so it’s usually not a problem. Please
come back at 12:00pm the day before to confirm. We can also hold
a space for you on the regular boat trip incase there’s nobody
to join you.
